Visiting the school?  Please sign in and out at the office.

Left something in your classroom? If you need something from your classroom after school gets out, please go to the classroom to see if your teacher is still there.  If the room is empty and the door is locked, you will have to wait until the following school day to retrieve your items.

Early pick up? Notify the teacher in advance and sign the child out in the office. The office will call the child. Do not go directly to the class.

No dogs on campus.

Please check the lost and found in the MUR for lost clothing or accessories.

Just a reminder to all parents.  Please remain behind the school gates, and not  in the corridors or outside classrooms, until the dismissal bell rings.

If you wish to volunteer in your student's classroom or chaperone a field trip in any MDUSD school, you MUST be cleared to do so by:

  • Showing proof of a recent negative TB test
  • Being fingerprinted by the district (at the district offices in Concord)

Make your appointment by calling the MDUSD personnel office. Click here to learn more.

STEM Fair Night (Entry form here)

(Science Technology Engineering and Math)

Formally known as the Science Night

Criteria for STEM Projects

  • Science Experiment: This is an experimental type of Science Inquiry project. It uses elements of Science and Engineering Practices, to carry out an experiment and test an idea.

  • Engineering Design: The use of scientific principles and the demonstration of creativity and ingenuity to overcome a real world problem or show a better way of doing something

  • The project should show that the student has learned something NEW!

  • Students are encouraged to work in teams and submit 1 group project

  • Failure is a natural part of the design process and experimentation, and an essential step toward creating and improved or successful solution.

Models, collections, reports, and demonstrations are not acceptable types of projects.

Students in grades 3-5 must use the scientific process in creating their project if they wish to participate in the MDUSD District STEM Fair. In addition, this year the district is asking for projects to have a connection to a real life, workplace situation. Other than these restrictions, your child may follow his or her own interest and may work with another child or small group. When displaying the project, please ensure that it is free standing and remember to have your name, grade, and room number clearly written and displayed on the project board.

Two projects will be selected from each grade (3rd – 5th grades only) to represent MDE at the

MDUSD District STEM Fair on March 11, 2017.
